We recommend this course as the essential first step for new gun owners, individuals without formal training, or those needing a refresher on handgun handling. This foundational course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to handle handguns safely in a supportive learning environment.

Course Details

Duration: 1 day / 4 hours (3 hours in classroom, 1 hour at the range)

Estimated Round Count: 100-200 rounds

Notes

Attire: Please wear long pants with pockets, closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops or sandals), and a crew neck or button-up shirt (no low-cut V-necks). A cap or hat with a brim is recommended. Bring water to stay hydrated during range time.

Equipment: Participants may bring their own handgun, holster, and mag pouch. Allowed calibers include .380, .38SPL, 9MM, .357SIG, .40S&W, and .45ACP. Revolver shooters should bring a minimum of four speed loaders, moon clips, or speed strips.
